Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern the Kodutek website and technology support services provided by Brill Design LLC, doing business as Kodutek (“Kodutek,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website or engaging us for services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or services.

Our services

Kodutek provides patient, practical help with everyday technology, including setup, troubleshooting, connections, and instruction. We are not a hardware repair shop, internet or utility provider, manufacturer-authorized repair center, emergency service, financial adviser, or data-recovery specialist. If a request is outside our scope, we may recommend another provider.

Rates, estimates, and payment

Current starting rates are displayed on the website. Additional time, travel outside the normal service area, parts, subscriptions, and paid software may cost extra. We will obtain your approval before purchasing third-party items or intentionally exceeding the agreed scope. The price and payment terms confirmed for your appointment will control if they differ from general website information.

Appointments and customer responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the issue and environment.
• Ensure an adult is present for an in-home appointment.
• Provide safe, reasonable access to the relevant devices and area.
• Tell us promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule.
• Use the services only for lawful purposes and devices you may access.

Passwords, accounts, and data

You remain in control of passwords, security codes, financial information, and other private credentials. Do not send them through the website, email, or text. When access is needed during support, you should enter sensitive credentials yourself whenever practical.

Technology work can involve risk, including data loss, settings changes, incompatibility, or interruption. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups before service. Tell us before work begins if a device contains irreplaceable or especially sensitive data.

Text-message terms

If you provide a mobile number and affirmatively opt in, Kodutek may send conversational text messages about your support request, scheduling, appointment reminders, and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchasing services.

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You may receive one final confirmation that the opt-out was processed. Reply HELP for help or email jeremy@kodutek.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for information about how we handle mobile information.

Third-party products and services

Hardware, software, internet service, warranties, accounts, and other third-party products remain subject to their providers’ terms, availability, and performance. Kodutek does not control and is not responsible for third-party outages, defects, policies, pricing, or later changes.

No guarantee of a particular result

We will provide services with reasonable care, but some problems cannot be solved during a session or may require replacement, specialist repair, provider support, or additional work. Except for obligations that cannot legally be excluded, the website and services are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or a particular outcome.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Kodutek is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for pre-existing conditions, undisclosed device problems, third-party failures, or loss that could reasonably have been avoided by maintaining a current backup. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Website content and acceptable use

The website and its original text, branding, and design belong to Kodutek or its licensors. You may use the site to learn about and request services. You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or misuse its content.

California law and changes

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update them as the business or services change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
